The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to 25E where someone was reportedly driving north in the southbound lanes. As officers were on their way they received another report that the vehicle, a Chevy pickup, had forced another vehicle into the median. Police spotted the truck coming at them in the wrong lane. A Barbourville Police officer who was also called to the scene and deputies blocked the road and boxed the truck in. The driver, 58 year old Samuel R Fryman of MT Sterling, was arrested and charged with DUI, wanton endangerment, reckless driving, no Insurance, no registration and open alcoholic beverage. Fryman was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
