The Corbin News Journal says the second of two co-defendants in former Corbin Police Officer Bronson Fugate’s federal drug conspiracy case has pleaded guilty. 43 year old Richard Stanley of Corbin, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Stanley faces 10 years to life in prison and a fine of up to $8 million. The other co-defendant, 33 year old Tiffany Hamilton of Corbin, pleaded guilty to her part in the conspiracy at a re-arraignment hearing last month. The cases are the result of a joint investigation by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Kentucky State Police and Williamsburg Police Department. As part of the investigation, law enforcement recovered multiple firearms that Fugate and Hamilton possessed. Fugate is scheduled to go to trial May 22 in U.S. District Court in London.
