Somerset Police say a murder suspect killed a man at a home, then burned the body in a car. Authorities say Humberto Mesa Vasquez murdered Jorge Martinez at a home on Main Street in Somerset. Vasquez appeared in Pulaski District Court this week where he was appointed an attorney and entered a “not guilty” plea. He will remain in jail on no bond. Martinez’s brother Edgar spoke at court with the help of his pastor, calling Jorge an “honest person.” Police have yet to disclose a motive, but investigators say the two were once roommates. Martinez’s pastor said Jorge’s wife and children live in Guatemala, and he was working in Kentucky to support them.
