The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a London man was arrested after deputies responded to a call of a man who appeared to be intoxicated inside of his vehicle. The caller also said the man struggled to get out of his vehicle. When deputies arrived on Rough Creek Road, they found 40 year old Brent S. Napier passed out behind the wheel with his five-year-old son also in the car. After deputies woke Napier up, they say he had slurred speech, dilated pupils, and he could not stay balanced on his feet. Police say Napier admitted to taking Suboxone and Xanax. Officials from Social Services were called to the scene to take the five-year-old boy and place him with other family members. Napier was charged with public intoxication-controlled substances and wanton endangerment. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
