Laurel County Sheriff John Root says a man is facing charges after he was caught trying to break in to the Lily Fire Department. Deputies were called to the scene on Saturday. As they arrived, the man, later identified as 33 year old Marlow Baker, tried to run from the scene. Deputies were able to catch up to him. That’s when he tried to run again, causing a scuffle. Baker caused $500 worth of damage to the building he was trying to break into. He was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest. Baker was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
