The Whitley County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were assisted by Williamsburg officers in apprehending a man wanted by Kentucky State Police. Deputies say they received information on the whereabouts of 24-year-old Estel D. Leach. The Sheriff’s Office and other agencies had been working to help the KSP in finding Leach for over a month. Leach was wanted on three counts of criminal abuse of a child under 12-years-old and three counts of wanton endangerment. He was also wanted on four parole violations. Officers surrounded Leach at a Williamsburg gas station where he was taken into custody without incident. Also arrested was 20-year-old Rodney L. Vanover. He is suspected of allowing Leach to stay at his home knowing that Leach was a wanted man. Leach and Vanover were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
