The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested three people after they were called out to Appaloosa Trail to investigate a hit and run. Deputies say a car hit a mail carrier and then left the scene. They believe 27 year old Christie McFadden was driving the car at the time of the crash. Deputies found the car more than a mile from the scene hidden behind a mobile home off 25E. Deputies said they then made a traffic stop on McFadden’s husband, 31 year old Joseph McFadden, who then drove off to a nearby mobile home on Appaloosa Trail. They found Joseph and Christie McFadden inside the home, where Christie admitted to driving the vehicle involved in the hit and run. Deputies arrested both Christie and Joseph McFadden along with the owner of the mobile home, 59 year old Arlis Rose. Rose was found to have outstanding warrants and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
